Day 165: O Canada!

I have the best past-roommate EVER!

I put the call out for Olympic mittens, and she immediately recognized my inherent need...nay...hunger...and responded in jig-a-rig time.

The best part?  They're fleece lined!  I didn't know that before I tried them on!

Receiving these in the mail today ALMOST made up for the hockey disaster last night.  Almost.

And they made women's hockey and the ice dancing gold all the more sweet!

Thanks Keran.  I loooove you!

  3. Lee: I know! I had tried to order some online, but they were sold out everywhere. So I asked my old roomate, who lives in BC if she could get me a pair. Since she doesn't live in Vancouver, there were plenty. I am sooo lucky. I wore them yesterday, but I'm afraid I probably will tuck them away somewhere, because I can't bear to get them soiled.

Otli: Whaaat? Where have you been? :oD I'm afraid I'm a bit of an Olympic Junky.

  7. Kathryn: They are warm. But I'm so worried about getting that white maple leaf dirty, that I'm afraid to wear them!

Maureen: Fleeeeecy! It was like a lovely, unexpected hug to my hands when I slipped them in. Mmm.

Beth: Really? Keran told me that there were tons in Vernon. She just walked into Zellers and picked them up! I guess they're selling like hotcakes, though, in Van. People standing in line for hours for them. And they're certainly not available on-line anymore. Is your hubs there now? Maybe he should take a drive up into the Fraser Valley before he comes home and take a look in The Bay or Zellers there. He might just have some luck.
