Day 280: Castles in the sand

Halt!  Who goes there?

Not sure who had more fun making this, myself or the kids.

We were very proud of the moat!

See the little French soldier on top?

"Your mother is an hampster and your father smells like elderberries!"

All in all, despite the insults (hehe) it was a beautiful day at the lake!

Now guess who has to go vacuum the sand-filled car?  Oy.

  1. I pretty much concede to the sand at this time of year, living where I do. It'll still be there to clean out in September...
I love her castle! I can just feel that wet scrunchy sand under their toes and inside their suits.

  3. Aw, honey...small price to pay (vacuuming all that sand in the car) for the lovely, sweet memories of a wonderful day.

Personally, I leave some of the sand there...I smile when I see it. It's like....a souvenir.
