Day 169: Princess carpenter

Miss J. received a bird house kit from Grandma C's backyard birdies for Christmas.  Today it was blizzarding out--roads closed, winds at 50 miles/hour, heavy snow.  A perfect day to put the birdhouse together.

She was wearing a blanket cape, which you can't see.  One must be properly attired when you're a carpenter princess.

If she really enjoys making things, Home Depot and Lowes each have a free monthly clinic/project for kids. They usually get a work apron and earn pins each month for completing the month's project. Can't hurt to check it out. My kids loved the program when they were younger.
