Day 109: Bring Honey

When you come to my mother-in-law's house, be sure to bring honey to appease the bears.  They can get a little grumpy if you don't pay them the attention they're due.  Char has a collected hundreds of bears over the years.  Here are three that I randomly took off the living room shelf.  They like the attention, and, thankfully, didn't notice that I had just eaten some honey soaked baklava and hadn't offered to share.  They were too busy primping for their photos, I suppose!

ed:  12/27/09  Char just let me know that this guy is made out of an old carriage robe.

She's a bit of a bear-fiend, I see?

Sweet.

And the 2nd thought that comes to mind is: do they get dusty??

(Can you tell I'm coming off a massive cleaning spree??)

It was the thrid word that my son was able to say, sometimes I think that they are even alive, wondering what we do.
Please have you all a wonderful start into the new week.

Kathryn: Very much of a bear fiend. And yes, they get dusty. she has this bear shampoo stuff she uses on them.

When you're finished cleaning your place, you're welcome to continue the roll at my houe...

Robert: I think you're right! Some of them certainly look very wise.

BumbleVee: You do? Cool! I made a couple of bears out of Christmas fabric one year, but that's the closest I've come. Never have done anything with fur, and anything that I have to turn and fix corners and stuff makes me kind of cranky in the process, even tho the result makes me smile. Usually. Thanks for stopping by!
