Day 88: Mice are nice

Finally today I dug out the Christmas stuff and did a wee bit of hall decking.  We won't be in town for Christmas, and it didn't seem particularly economical to go the fresh tree route this year, so we're using our little, skinny, woodland tree again.  It's kind of cute. The kids don't have the "less is more" mindset, though, so every decoration that could possible be put on it was.  It looks a bit like we took the box and threw it at the tree!  I also caved under the pressure this year and put on coloured lights.  I guess I can't have everything I want in life, year after year!

I wanted to share this sweet little Nativity with you today, though.  We have a few that we display every year, including a fairly beautiful ceramic one.  The one below is by far our favorite, though.  It came into my possession completely unexpectedly, and I'm so glad it has called my place home.  Isn't it sweet?

Oh, it IS sweet! Love it!

Da boys also have a preference for the colored lights...is that a kid thing?

I much prefer the white, antique lights...it's a battle every year.

Kathryn: I think it IS a kid thing. And a guy thing. Hold their attention better. ;o)

Maureen: Aren't they, though? They are so teeny that I have to put sticky putty on the bottom of them to keep them upright.
