Pull up a chair? Bickie? Beverage? I'm so glad you've stopped by. I hope you enjoy your stay. This little space celebrates the idea that the little things, the everyday things, are worth recording. It has comfortably settled itself into a blog about the everyday after I started a 365 Day photo challenge September of 2009 on Facebook. After beginning to blog, I transfered many of the photos here, where I have continued this daily challenge. My life is really not that interesting, but as I've looked for something to photograph each day, I've been able to find fun, joyful, meaningful things in the daily events that happen for all of us. It's fun keeping my eye open for little things that I never noticed were even worthy of record before. There is so much beauty out there if we keep an eye open to it.

I think it's a Chinese lantern - I found this online: "In the English speaking world, this delicate and beautiful plant is known as Physalis, Chinese Lantern, Strawberry Tomato, Winter Cherry, Bladder Cherry or Cape Gooseberry, and is a relative of the tomatillo in the Solanaceae family."
I thought it looked like a chinese lantern as well. We'll see whether it turns orange, I suppose, then we'll know for sure. Oooh, the mystery of it all.
Hi - I hope you don't mind me commenting. I blog stalk you occasionally :) (I was in some of your husband's classes when he taught @ college). My mum has these in her yard. We always called them pumpkin flowers since they turn orange in the fall. I loved them when I was little - my sister and I would always rip them open and pull out the "little ball" (probably seed). This brought back memories! Not sure of the real name though...sorry! Btw love your photos!
Of course I don't mind you commenting! I always love knowing that I'm being stalked. LOL. Means that on those days when I have little or no comments that perhaps people are still stopping by.
Cool about the plant. I've always loved chinese lanterns, and it appears from your description, especially the orange colour and the fruit inside that's what it is. How fun that just randomly appeared in the flower bed!
