Day 173: Teacups

It's so odd the fascination that I have for teacups, seeing as how I don't drink any tea other than the herbal variety.  But I do.  They're so delicate and pretty. Love 'em.

And they add such class to OJ or milk, don't they?  ;o)

Now raise your pinkies, everyone, in silent salute to the power of pretty.

These are so pretty. I have my grandmas teacups, 11 sets I think maybe 12 i will have to check. A cup, saucer and bread and butter plate in each set, seriously gorgeous.

Joyce: Thanks! Come on over for a cuppa!

Kim: Lucky you! I have a few that were given to me when my paternal grandmother passed away, but I have yet to get them from her house in British Columbia down here. I also received some from my other grandmother, as well. Niether of these ladies had complete sets of anything--just a glorious hodge podge of pretty cups in a variety of patterns. They're so fun!

Maureen: I kind of got hooked when Jane (the salt cellars gal from a previous post) and I would go to thrift stores. I just don't have a pretty place to put them, so they're piled up willy-nilly in the china cabinet.

All this talk of teacups makes me want to have a little teaparty! You're all invited!

Agree with you, that only tea is able to provide such a feeling and beauty.

What a joy for all the senses it must be to see tea meeting such a cup.
A wonderful Thursday for you.
